Coaster with epoxy inlay
Coaster with large initial and last name in script.
Notes
I initially cut the pocket, do a partial cutout, chamfer the inside and outside edges, then cut the letter and script in Advanced V carve. I leave the project on the machine and fill the letter and around the script with epoxy. After the epoxy dries I run a finishing pass with .625 stepover and .1 millimeters lower than the initial pocket cut. This clears out the epoxy and leaves a surface that barely needs to be sanded. Then I run the final cutout.
