-- Misc: M5 washers, lock washers, nuts. Extra lamp cord for power to the top light. A couple of Wago connectors or wire nuts to connect the center accent and top lights, rubber or felt feet for the base.
To avoid any post processing of the acrylic layer I made a 12”x12” template out of 1/4” plywood then ran a pass for the acrylic layer but only 1mm deep to etch a patten for positioning of double sided tape. Tape was placed only on areas where the end mill would not cut to avoid gumming up the bit. The acrylic sheet was positioned on top of the plywood/tape and cutout using a 278Z end mill. Results were excellent.
1/2” x .25” counter sunk holes were drilled in the underside of the base and top centered on each of 4 corner holes for the connecting rods. M5 nuts and washers fit into the underside of the base countersunk holes, connecting rod runs through each layer, and M5 washers and nuts on the top acrylic layer hold the stack together. The top nuts and washers fit/hidden into the counter sunk holes on the underside of the top and 4 decorative nuts fasten the top. The top decorative nuts can be removed for servicing the center accent lamp. I later added a tool path for pocketing the underside counter sunk holes and a small channel for the power wire to the top lamp. The top lamp has a pull chain for on/off but not used as LED wifi smart lamps are used for both the accent lamp in the base and the main top light.
