cut the jig into a piece of scrap wood. The current cut depth is set to hold 9 cards
bundle the cards and secure them with painters tape on the sides
secure the cards from the top (I screwed scrap pieces of MDF)
cut out the four holes on the side
the same jig (or better: create another one) can be used to fix a ruler for cutting the cards with a knife

Great project Erich! Can't wait to see a video of the complete project. Is there a limit to the number of sections you can chain together?

Hi Edward! The 'classic' hardware made by Scott can drive up to 12 modules (3 expansion boards with 4 modules each). I'm planning to build my own electronics board which has clusters of units (probably 4) interconnected on an RS-485 bus. Similar to the MetaClockClock project I have done (clock made of 'analog clocks'). Currently I have a single unit running, will extend it first to 4.
