Made of 1/2" plywood, this quick project went from concept to functional light in what would be a Saturday afternoon of time with your CNC. Enjoy making the lamp as is or iterating on the initial design. Check out the video on our YouTube Channel. Link and List of materials below. Post if you make it! This one lives in the Carbide 3D Studio and is used everyday.

Thanks for everything you do Kevin for all of Shapeoko users out there! I made a version of your light, but with 90 degree cuts for the edges to hide the ugliness of the plywood sides. It's also slightly smaller to fit the piece of ply I had laying around. I wish I could be able to upload my modified design files here too for whoever may want to look at them. Maybe CutRocket will allow that in the future. Just like they added the "Makes" photos. Mine is made from HomeDepot 1/2 in Ply just with some water based poly on it. Turned out well for a night stand light.edwardrford posted 3 years ago
Steve - thanks for sharing your Makes of this project! If you want to upload your version, just create a new project and upload your files (and photos). You can put a link to the original in your project's summaryKevinBarnett posted 3 years ago
Steve, Great job. I just surfed back to this project and found your build. Love it. Altering, Improving and Iterating are what this is all about. I agree with Ed, put your files up and then someone will take your design in another direction. Fantastic. You must be signed in to leave a comment.
